Description
Nestling in the beautiful Wiltshire Downs, just 7 miles from the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury lies Little Langford Farmhouse.

Our large, elegant rooms are beautifully themed and decorated with fine period furniture and all modern facilities.

We are close to many major places of interest, our "Places to visit" page provides a lot more information but here are just some of the delights nearby:-

 *    One of the closest bed and breakfasts to
        Stonehenge
 *    Just 15 minutes from the Medieval City of
        Salisbury
 *    Within easy reach of the Roman City of Bath
 *    Breathtaking views across the Wiltshire
        countryside
 *    Choice of delightful walks in an
        Environmentally Sensitive Area
 *    Several village pubs are close by
 *    We are a non-smoking establishment

All of our bedrooms are very large and have en-suite or private facilities. They each have a television, tea / coffee making facilities, hair dryer, magazines and complimentary toiletries. Each bedroom has two windows from which there are delightful countryside views.

The Dining room and Billiard room
Our separate dining room offers a wonderful "alfresco" feel in those warm summer months with the French Windows opened on to our terrace. Guests may also make use of our billiard room, with its three-quarter size table that's suitable for playing billiards, snooker or pool. The billiard room opens on to the garden terrace with a Mediterranean feel, including pots and urns tumbling with geraniums. It's the ideal place to relax on a summer's evening after a busy day of sight-seeing.

The "Spring" and "Autumn" bedrooms
The "Spring" bedroom (left) is decorated in spring fresh pale green and primrose yellow with a finely crafted carved Arts and Crafts suite whilst our "Autumn" room (right) has stripped pine wood and window shutters, complimented with a decor of warm coral and cream. The view on the right is actually the view from the Spring and Autumn rooms.

The "Summer" bedroom
Our "Summer" themed bedroom has blue striped walls with stripped pine window shutters and doors. It has an outstanding original Victorian brass bed and spacious en-suite facilities in the turret.

Close by are several village pubs offering excellent food at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere

The Farmhouse
Little Langford Farmhouse is a grand and elegant example of Victorian Gothic architecture with crenellations, lancet windows and a turreted entrance hall. It is a working tenanted dairy and arable farm owned by the Earl of Pembroke and situated 7 miles from Salisbury in the beautiful Wiltshire downs. It stands in its own grounds with a large pleasant garden in which guests are invited to relax. The Victorian theme is continued in the decor with damask curtains and fine period furniture.

Our sitting room
The comfortable sitting room has books, magazines, games and a baby grand piano. A log fire will welcome you and keep you cosy on chilly evenings.
We serve a full farmhouse breakfast with a choice of organic yogurts, fruit, cereals, homemade marmalade and honey from the farm. The cooked breakfast includes delicious Wiltshire bacon as well as eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes.

The farm is 568 hectares and is in the renowned Wylye Valley. We have a herd of 200 pedigree Holstein Friesian cows plus young stock and we grow wheat, barley and maize. We offer you the freedom of our farm where you can enjoy watching the cows being milked, the calves fed or seasonal activities on the farm.

Some of the land is in an Environmentally Sensitive Area and is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the wild flowers and butterflies. The views from the chalk downs are breathtaking. Our meadows border the lakes owned by Wiltshire Wildlife and offer a wonderful opportunity for bird watching. Guests are welcome to walk and can be given a map with suggested routes.
