Description
Welcome to the peace and tranquility of Le Bourg.
Situated in the peaceful village of Moussac, in the beautiful Vienne valley, this charming little house has been sympathetically restored to offer comfortable holiday accommodation for 4 people.
Situated in the unspoilt Département of Vienne in Poitou-Charentes, reputedly the sunniest part of France after Provence, Moussac is under 6 hours by car from the Channel ports and 40 minutes from Poitiers airport which has regular flights by Ryanair.
The house is situated in a small square in the heart of the village, almost next to the Mairie and Post Office. There are two cafe bars, a well stocked shop for everyday needs a few minutes' walk from the house and mobile butcher's and baker's shops visit the village almost daily. Just a few minutes' walk is the village tennis court and the canoeing centre on the River Vienne.
Moussac is an ideal base to explore, house-hunt or just relax in this relatively undiscovered part of rural France with its lush and verdant countryside and medieval towns and villages. The area is a paradise for walkers, cyclists, anglers, gourmets and those wishing just to relax. To find out more about the area please click on Local Info.
There is a fully enclosed gravelled garden where you can enjoy lunch under the shade of a parasol, or sip an apéritif while your dinner bought in the local markets cooks on the barbecue.
