Description Barn Owl Cottage self catering accommodation stands on the grounds of Oakdale Farmhouse, just two kilometres from the town of Glenties in County Donegal on the main N56 road. This farm building, converted to self catering with the highest standards of modernity and comfort, has one en-suite bedroom/shower. The cottage is an ideal retreat for honeymooners, retired or other couples or small families who wish to get away from it all. The patio has breathtaking views of the 'Hills of Donegal'. The cottage stands on the route of the Blue Stack Way and is a popular stopping-off place for walkers and ramblers. It is only a short distance from the Owenea river with its well stocked supplies of fish. For golfers there is the eighteen hole course at Narin, about 10 kilometres from Glenties. Shops, bank, restaurants, and pubs with traditional music are only five minutes drive away in the town of Glenties.The cottage comes with free WIFI internet access and is an ideal location for touring to Slieve League (Europe's highest sea cliffs) and Glenveagh National Park and Castle.
