Casa Content is nestled on a gentle slope overlooking the bay of Cabo San Lucas (Medano Bay) and Land's End where the Pacific Ocean melds with the Sea of Cortez. This B&B is a singularly unique, 7,000 square foot (10,000 with decks) ultra-deluxe and luxurious home, the former private residence of a past Mayor of Cabo San Lucas, Carlos Cota, where luxury and splendor are daily indulgences of the mind and spirit. Here, stress and tension melt away in a natural desert sanctuary where you can step outside life's hustle and replenish your soul with a little of life's elixir.
CASA CONTENTA BED & BREAKFAST COMMON AREAS
The main or common areas of Casa Contenta Bed & Breakfast Inn are spread out on three distinctive levels. Each level features artisan crafted artwork from Mexico as well as indigenous art from around the globe which the owners and hosts have collected on their myriad annual trips. The ground floor features a spacious sitting area with a house library for guests where you can find just the right book to read while relaxing on one of two sofas or while working on your tan poolside. Step thru double doors and you'll enter our garden or use the lower decks and hammocks, where you can read in private.
Venture up the curved staircase lit by natural light through a one-of-a-kind freeform window, an architectural marvel and focal design feature of this villa, and you'll find yourself on the second floor living, dining and kitchen space. Several sitting areas are incorporated into this level and there is computer access and bar available for those that need to stay in touch or surf the web, although the entire house and decks have “wireless capability”. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows and doors bring the spectacular unobstructed views of Land's End, Cabo's Medano Bay and the Sea of Cortez into play.
Step through the double doors onto the pool level terrace and you'll find the views expand to include the desert, the town of Cabo San Lucas and the Sierra Laguna Mountains. The pool level terrace offers up a covered, shady retreat for enjoying breakfast or drinks while surrounded by lush plants and flowers. Feel like taking a siesta? Then make your way to the hammock and drift off in complete relaxation. Cool off with a dip in the pool or work on your tan on one of many padded chaise lounges with umbrellas at the ready to bring the shade to you. An outside fridge for the guests use is on this deck.
Finally, another curved staircase passes by the 6-person Jacuzzi and takes you to our expansive and decidedly cozy rooftop terrace where unbroken views of the beauty of Cabo San Lucas and the tip of the Baja peninsula envelope you. this is one of the finest 360-degree views that exist of Lands' End - and a spot from which you can view the sun rise and set, each day. Sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular; the palapa cover lets just the right amount of sunlight through and provides the perfect place for an impromptu social hour. Our guests consistently rave about the pleasures or sipping a glass of wine while relaxing on their own, or with friends, family or other guests. Many a new friendship has been formed here. Hammocks are also located on the decks on all three levels. The rooftop deck is a favorite location for your daily massages!
The grounds that surround Casa Contenta are extensively landscaped but still maintain the feel and tranquility of a natural and peaceful desert setting, the only disturbance is from the different species of birds from woodpeckers to hummingbirds, doves to red-robins that make our gardens their homes and nesting places. Sprinkled amongst the flowers, plants and trees are more pieces of art... from artisan quality sculptures to locally crafted pieces like wooden ducks made from indigenous flora, metal miniature statuettes, birdbaths, feeding spots and the like.
Casa Contenta is a private home, created for those who appreciate a restful, relaxed and unique vacation. Our name "corazon del desierto" translating to, "the heart of the desert" ~ says it all. We have named our guest rooms for the indigenous species of cacti growing throughout the magnificent Baja-California-Sur Peninsula.
Each guest room offers you optimum privacy - all are spacious and decorated in a tasteful, mildly Mexican theme, including: "full deep sleep" King and Queen size beds, air conditioners and private luxurious bathrooms. Rooms are air-conditioned, have small personal refrigerators and private bathrooms.
CARDON & OCOTILLO
These are definitely the favorite rooms, referred to by romantics, as our "Honeymoon Suites". Both are very large and spacious with almost floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on brilliantly colored bougainvilleas and peaceful cactus gardens. They both have access to outside decks. We also have fold out beds for these very large rooms, for kids. They have king size beds, walk-in closets and sunken baths.

PITAYA
Another large and spacious ground floor corner room. Light and airy with a king size bed and a walk-through closet. It is both peaceful and quiet, looking out over the side garden and palms, and again, large enough for a fold-out.

SAGUARO & AGAVE
Saguaro is a cozy, open and airy room, with it's own walk-in circular shower and Queen bed. Agave, next door, is a cheerful and bright room, capturing the morning sun that opens up onto the main deck, with a King bed. These two rooms, being semi-connected ~ with private entryway, are a favorite for two couples or a family traveling together and can be reserved as such.

There is a charge of $25 per person, per day sleeping on a fold-away bed.
YOUR HOSTS
Craig & Lori Harrison are an eclectic mix of South Africa and Canada, who have traveled extensively throughout the world. In their Casa Contenta B&B, they have sought to bring together a compilation of "the very best" to pamper the heart and please the soul. Family members on premises include Luna and Solo (our smaller four-legged girls in fur coats), who will allow you to join them on their morning sunrise walks. Please don't mention the word "dog" in front of their 'Gramma', Chef Betty; she thinks they are her "GrandDogs"!
Your hosts, Lori and Craig have a separate condo and living quarters, as does Betty, who comes down for a few months each winter, and occupies her own Garden Casita.
