Our location near Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and less than one mile west of Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle, makes visiting all major tourist attractions very easy. We are on the main A8 route to the City Centre from the North, Glasgow, Stirling and six miles from Edinburgh Airport. We are also just over one mile from Edinburgh (Waverley) Station and a few minutes walk from Haymarket Station.
Edinburgh is a city best discovered on foot and with Princes Street only 15 minutes walk away, guests find our location ideal for exploring the sights. For the less energetic, there are very frequent buses to take you on the brief trip to the heart of the city.

Kew House forms part of a listed Victorian terrace built in 1860. The house conversion is contemporary and stylish yet it still maintains much of its original character

LOCATION OF KEW HOUSE: We are positioned directly on the A8 route to and from Edinburgh International Airport and City Centre, and just 10 minutes walk along Haymarket Terrace from Haymarket railway station. Our position between Roseburn and Haymarket and opposite West Coates mean that you can walk into Princes Street in 15 minutes. Buses number 12, 26 and 31 (Lothian Buses) and 86, 16, 38 (First Bus) pass our door from Princes Street.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Airport: A taxi will cost around £12.00 to Kew House. The Airport Bus (No 100) stops opposite Kew House at West Coates. The fare is £3.00 single or £5.00 open return.
From the Bus or Railway Station: From Edinburgh (Waverley) Station, a taxi will cost around £6.00 or you can use any of the buses mentioned above. Ask to get off at Kew Terrace.
From the North and West, you can also leave the train at Edinburgh’s Haymarket Station and walk left along Haymarket Terrace for 10 minutes or take a taxi for around £3.00
By Road: From Princes Street: Head West (with the castle on your left) towards Shandwick Place and West Maitland Street. You want to go straight ahead but will have to follow a one way system. Take the middle lane on Morrison Street and head along Haymarket Terrace with Haymarket Station on your left. We are 3 minutes drive on your left hand side.
From the South and South West (A1, A7, A68. A701, A702, M8) : Join the Edinburgh City By-Pass (A720) Northbound in the direction of the Forth Road Bridge. At the large roundabout which signifies the end of the By-Pass, take the A8 City Centre signs. When you pass Edinburgh Zoo on your left, we are about 1.5 miles on your right. Parking is to the rear accessed via Balbirnie Place.
From the North-West and Edinburgh Airport: (M9, A8): Follow signs for “Edinburgh Zoo” which means passing Edinburgh Airport. Then follow A8 City Centre as above
From the M90 and Forth Road Bridge: After crossing the Forth Road Bridge and driving for around 4 miles on four lane roadway, you will approach a large junction with traffic lights (Barnton Junction). Turn right on A902 (Cammo Road). Follow this route for about 1.5 miles and then turn left. You are on the A8. Look for Edinburgh Zoo and follows the route as above from there.
Kew House car park is to the rear of the building and accessed via Balbirnie Place
