Description
Cerrig Llwyddion is a rural retreat, comprising of two properties, a converted barn and a cottage, bookable together or individually, where you can create your own kind of holiday. A place of space, freedom and comfort; whether it be for work or play.

Nestled in beautiful West Wales set in 12 acres of lush land with 6 acres of bluebell woodlands alongside the River Bargoed; there are many special areas to wander for quiet moments of contemplation or play.

The holiday accommodation available is a self contained cottage attached to our farmhouse and the renovated barn which is run on ecological principles.

The hot water and all rooms are heated by a central thermal store, fed by the wood burner and solar panels. It will be part of your eco friendly experience to light and stock the wood burner.

Holiday here - you can unwind in our luxurious contemporary design barn or in the cosy cottage.

In the grounds there are areas for you to sit around the bonfire, an open roofed meditation circle or barbeque area and in the meadow are 4 mowed camping circles to pitch a tent on or place a paddling pool.

Why not turn your secluded country holiday into a creative/ spiritual / health retreat by choosing from our extensive list of recreational activities and workshops to enhance your stay with us.

Or simply come and stay for a reunion with your family or friends.

Create here - at Cerrig Llwyddion we offer accommodation with a teaching / rehearsal space.

In our renovations we aimed to retain as much of the feel of rustic utility and simplicity whilst incorporating contemporary design and ecological principles.

Throughout, heating and hot water is fed by solar panels and the wood burner, with a timed immersion for busy periods. It will be part of your eco friendly experience to light and stock the wood burner. In the colder months you will need to keep the wood burner at a constant low level and when you come in just stoke it up with a couple of logs, this will provide constant heat and hot water.

It is a stone building dating from 1850 renovated with wood recycled from the original barn, burnished to bring out it's former beauty. Natural paints and stains to create a soft soothing ambiance for you to indulge in, and expanses of waxed oak and coloured, floated concrete to give a zen feel of space.

The ground floor has underfloor heating below the tinted concrete floor with inlays of pebbles and agate slices. The rooms are separated with wide blond boards of Douglas fir from our own tree.

The shower room has a luxurious walk in shower with a heated pebble floor and curvaceous cast concrete countertop.

The bathroom has a deep comfortable bath set in cast concrete with fossil and metal inlays. The walls are natural coloured marble plaster with a soft recessed light.
